Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Kumawat Technologies Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the GoAlert mobile application ("App") available on the Google Play Store.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
1.1 Information We Collect
GoAlert collects only the minimum data necessary to provide its safety features. We collect:
- Location Data (Precise GPS): Collected only when you actively enable tracking in the app. Used exclusively to display your current position and include coordinates in emergency Internet-based alerts sent to your guardians.
- Background Location Data: Collected only when you explicitly enable background tracking. Used exclusively to maintain a foreground service for continuous monitoring during travel. This data is processed locally and is not transmitted to any server.
- Emergency Contact Information: Phone numbers you manually enter, imported from your device's contact list, stored locally only. Used solely to address outgoing SOS notifications and Internet location requests.
- Push Notification Token (FCM): A Firebase Cloud Messaging token is registered automatically to enable push-based SOS alerts and remote location requests from your guardians. This token is never sold or shared with third parties.
1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or account credentials (no account is required).
- We do not collect or upload location history, travel routes, or movement data to any server.
- We do not read the content of your personal SMS messages.
- We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party data collection tools.
- We do not collect financial, biometric, or health data of any kind.

3.1 Third-Party Services
GoAlert uses the following minimal third-party services, which are necessary for core functionality:
- OpenStreetMap (OSM): Map tile rendering. When you view the map, your device fetches map tiles from OSM servers. OSM may log standard web server access logs (IP, tile coordinates). GoAlert does not share personal data with OSM.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): Used exclusively for push-based SOS alerts and remote location requests between you and your guardians. A Firebase Cloud Messaging token is registered on your device. No personal location data is stored on Firebase servers. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on FCM data handling.
- Firebase Firestore (Google): Used for real-time activity log synchronisation when the optional "Remote Request" feature is enabled. Only your connection code and activity logs are synced. Data is protected by Firebase security rules and not accessible to third parties.
- Device Geocoding APIs (On-Device): Address lookups may use your device's built-in geocoding APIs, which may communicate with Google's Geocoding services depending on your device configuration. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.
We do not integrate any advertising networks, analytics platforms (such as Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel), social media SDKs, or data broker services.
3.2 Security Measures
- All contact data and settings are stored in Android's protected application sandbox (encrypted by the operating system on supported devices).
- Communication with Firebase is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS.
- We do not maintain user accounts or passwords.
- Push alerts are routed via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, subject to Google's security standards.
3.3 Data Retention
GoAlert retains data locally on your device for as long as you use the application. All locally stored data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the application. We have no server-side data to delete or retain.
