- Personal Data (Contacts): Name, phone numbers, and emergency contact details that you import from your device. This data is used solely to identify recipients for your emergency SMS alerts.
- Location Information: We request access to track location-based information from your mobile device to provide real-time safety monitoring and path visualization.
- Background Location: GoAlert collects location data to enable automated travel monitoring and emergency SOS alerts even when the app is closed or not in use. This is a core requirement for the safety features to function when you are on the move.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations.
- To facilitate SOS Alerts: We use your location and contact list to send automated SMS alerts to your chosen guardians during emergencies.
- Local Storage: Most of your activity logs are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. Your location data is ONLY shared with the specific contacts you have chosen and only when 'Live Tracking' or 'SOS' is active.

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
