Frequently Asked Questions

GoAlert is a travel safety and SOS app for Android by Kumawatpulse Technologies that shares live GPS alerts with chosen guardians. Answers below state each capability with its honest limit.

When you trigger SOS, GoAlert sends your live GPS coordinates to your chosen guardians as an Internet push notification. Alerts need an active Internet connection to dispatch; GPS tracking itself runs on your device. GoAlert is a supplementary safety tool, not a replacement for calling 112, 108 or 1091 in India.

Partly. GPS tracking and the safety timer run on your device without Internet, but SOS alerts, remote location requests and accident-detection notifications are sent as Internet push notifications, so they dispatch only when connectivity is available. An active connection is required to reach guardians.

GoAlert needs precise location for GPS alerts and tracking, background location only when you start a monitored trip, contacts access only to let you pick guardians from your phonebook, and notifications for the persistent tracking indicator and incoming alerts. Each permission can be revoked anytime in Android Settings; location features stop working if revoked. See the privacy page for full details.

With Low Battery Alerts enabled, GoAlert automatically sends an SOS to your chosen guardians when your battery drops to about 15%, so they know your phone may go offline soon. Like all alerts, it needs Internet to dispatch, and GoAlert cannot function once the phone shuts down.

Safe Zones let you mark trusted locations such as home or work. When your device is inside a safe zone radius, GoAlert suppresses automatic alerts to prevent false alarms while keeping tracking available. You can add, edit or remove safe zones in the app at any time.

Enable Remote Request in Settings to get a unique connection code and share it with a guardian. They can then request your live GPS coordinates over the Internet, even if you cannot respond. Requests and replies are relayed through Firebase and need Internet on both sides. No SMS is used.

GoAlert supports 22 languages: English, Hindi, Arabic, Urdu, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, and Vietnamese.
