Live Location Sharing Without an Account

GoAlert is a travel safety and SOS app for Android by Kumawatpulse Technologies that shares live GPS alerts with chosen guardians — with no account, no login, and no registration of any kind. Most live-location apps force everyone into accounts, contact uploads, and always-on sharing. GoAlert inverts that: your data stays on your phone, sharing happens only with people you explicitly chose, and only when tracking or an alert is active. Free forever, about 14 MB, Android 8.0+.

Live location sharing app with no account: GoAlert guardian view receiving GPS coordinates without login

Why no-account sharing matters

Accounts create honeypots: a server full of linked identities, location histories, and contact graphs waiting to leak. GoAlert sidesteps the entire category. There is no username to phish, no password to reuse, no profile to scrape — and setup friction drops to near zero, which matters when you're configuring a phone for a parent or a teen and don't want to manage credentials for them. Guardians on the receiving end don't need accounts either: they get push alerts with coordinates and a readable address, and can request your live position with the connection code you shared.

Control stays visible and physical. Tracking runs only while the Shield is toggled on, announced by a persistent notification you can stop with one tap. Revoke location permission in Android Settings and location features simply stop — nothing lingers server-side to delete, because, apart from transient Firebase relay records described in the Privacy Policy, there is no server-side account store.

Four ways to share your live location

  1. Shield monitoring. Toggle on before a journey; guardians follow the trip with live GPS. See How It Works.
  2. One-tap SOS. Instant coordinates-plus-address to every guardian at once.
  3. Remote request. A guardian pulls your position with your connection code — even if you can't respond.
  4. Check-in timer. Time-boxed sharing: protection for one journey, silence afterwards.

What "no account" does and doesn't mean

It means: no usernames, passwords, emails, or phone-number verification; contacts you pick are stored only on your device; no advertising profiles; deleting the app removes local data.

It doesn't mean offline magic: sharing still needs Internet on both sides, because coordinates travel as Firebase push payloads. It doesn't mean anonymous-to-guardians either — your guardians obviously see that alerts come from you.

It doesn't mean zero infrastructure: FCM tokens, connection codes, and synced activity logs pass through Firebase to deliver the features. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what relays where, and the FAQ answers the common questions.

Honest limits of account-free sharing

Same physics as everything else. GPS weakens indoors and underground; alerts need connectivity both sides; a dead or power-saver-restricted phone shares nothing. And sharing your location with guardians is a convenience and safety net — not protection in itself. In a real emergency call 112, 108, or 1091 in India. Common questions

How does the SOS button work?

When you trigger SOS, GoAlert sends your live GPS coordinates to your chosen guardians as an Internet push notification. Alerts need an active Internet connection to dispatch; GPS tracking itself runs on your device. GoAlert is a supplementary safety tool, not a replacement for calling 112, 108 or 1091 in India.

What permissions does GoAlert need and why?

GoAlert needs precise location for GPS alerts and tracking, background location only when you start a monitored trip, contacts access only to let you pick guardians from your phonebook, and notifications for the persistent tracking indicator and incoming alerts. Each permission can be revoked anytime in Android Settings; location features stop working if revoked. See the privacy page for full details.

How does Remote Location Request work?

Enable Remote Request in Settings to get a unique connection code and share it with a guardian. They can then request your live GPS coordinates over the Internet, even if you cannot respond. Requests and replies are relayed through Firebase and need Internet on both sides. No SMS is used.
